You don’t need to be in shape

You don’t need to be in shape to start martial arts. In fact, starting off as a white belt (beginner) we don’t expect you to be fit. Just as long as you can lift yourself out of bed in the morning you will manage and enjoy the class. At Northstar martial arts in Balmain fitness is a key element. We have incorporated core cardio and strength training into the martial arts class structure so you are getting fit whilst learning great martial arts moves.

Shed those unwanted kilos.

Training twice a week you will soon start to experience new levels of fitness and shed those unwanted kilos.  As you progress through the structured levels on you way to black belt your conditioning continues to improve. Learning the kicks and punches then striking the pads is a great all round exercise. The trainers at Northstar Balmain vary the times on the pads from endurance to high intensity challenging for all levels of martial arts students.
