Andy Dickinson is one of  Martial Arts highest achievers. He has spent many years travelling and studying many methods of martial arts worldwide.

Andy has lived and studied Ju Jitsu and Judo in Japan, Taekwondo in Korea, stick and knife fighting in the Philippines, Thai boxing in Thailand, and Brazilian Ju Jitsu in America. He has also made in depth studies of kick boxing, boxing and wrestling. In more recent times Andy has has been training in the Russian Martial Art of Systema under Chief Instructor Vladimir Vasiliev  in Canada and Alex Kostic from Serbia. Chi Gong with Master John Saw and Chen style Tai Chi with Sifu Alison Anderson. Andy is currently studying meditation with  Dr Swami Shankardev Saraswati.

Andy is the Australian Director and one of the founding members of the International Sports Ju Jitsu Association and on 2009 was elected as President of the International Budo-Ju Jitsu Federation based in Tokyo Japan.

He now devotes his time to expanding his training methods and philosophies through out the Northstar Ju Jitsu network of dojo’s and teaching at the Northstar Headquarters in Balmain.

 

The essence of his teaching is correct martial arts training is a great method of personal growth. It can be studied on the surface to get fit and learn self-defense and it can also lead to incredible changes in self-confidence, self-esteem, self-discipline and self knowledge.
